First U.S. Community Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Suzanne Wages as its new Vice President of Real Estate Lending and Servicing. In this role, Wages will oversee the full real estate lending program from origination to servicing, driving growth, performance, and quality across the credit union’s mortgage and home equity portfolio. She will lead a team of originators, processors, underwriters, and servicing staff while championing member-focused lending solutions and process innovations.

Wages brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in financial services, including nearly two decades in Real Estate Lending at SAFE Credit Union. In that role, she directed top-tier mortgage lending strategies across 20+ branches, scaled her team from 11 to over 30 employees, and consistently exceeded performance and revenue goals. She is recognized for launching innovative, member-first programs such as SAFE’s signature Home Buying Experience platform, which offered educational seminars to empower members on their path to homeownership. Her achievements have also earned SAFE recognition as a seven-time finalist for the North State BIA’s Mortgage Professional of the Year award, underscoring their reputation as a respected lender in the Greater Sacramento and East Bay lending community.
