NORTH HAVEN, CT (February 17, 2016) — Each year, many individuals make a New Year’s resolution to improve their physical health by exercising and eating healthy. Similar to our physical health, our finances need a work out to improve. Connex Credit Union is seeking five lucky participants to get into financial shape and take part in this year’s ConneXfactor financial competition.
“If your financial situation is in need of new direction and you’re looking to obtain a better understanding of your finances, then we encourage you to apply to be a ConneXfactor participant ,” said Carl J. Casper, vice president of customer advocacy, Connex Credit Union. “This is our third year of ConneXfactor and the results have been overwhelmingly positive for our members who have participated.”
ConneXfactor is a financial fitness competition where five individuals compete to see who can improve their fiscal situation the most over a six month span. Each contestant is assigned a Financial Advocate who acts as a “coach” to help them set and achieve their financial goals, as well as to provide tips and techniques to help them transform their financial lives.
The grand prize winner of ConneXfactor will win $3,000, first place will take home $1,000 and second place will receive $500. All contestants will be rewarded with a wealth of financial knowledge to help them maintain the financial renaissance they obtain during the competition. Applications are accepted through March 4, 2016.
Casper added that the program is a direct extension of the credit union’s customer advocacy program. “The core foundation of our mission is to help improve the lives of our members, one member at a time. This is a visible example of our commitment to helping our members achieve financial success. We look forward to this year’s competition.”
Space for ConneXfactor is limited to five participants, but anyone can participate by following the competition on the ConneXfactor website. The website also includes updates on the participants, financial tips and advice, as well as financial worksheets and tools.
Those interested in participating can submit an application at www.connexfactor.com. The competition is open to individuals age 18 or older who are current Connex Credit Union members, or who join during the application process.
