TAMPA, FL (September 22, 2014) -- Suncoast Credit Union announces the opening of its first branch in Sarasota County at 4451 Aiden Lane in North Port, Florida. In December 2013, members voted in favor of converting from a federal charter to a state charter, allowing the credit union to expand its services to Sarasota County.
Sarasota County residents can now look forward to lower interest rates, fewer fees for services, higher earnings, more efficient customer service and workshops that teach members how to manage personal finances.
From September 15 to September 19, the first 100 people who join Suncoast Credit Union at the North Port branch will be given a $25 bonus into a savings account and 50 people will have the chance to win $50 VISA gift cards.

As Suncoast Credit Union grows in Sarasota County, the credit union plans to increase community support through the Suncoast Rewards Debit Card and Suncoast VISA Credit Card programs. Each time a member uses their debit or credit card, Suncoast Credit Union donates two cents to the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation, which funds education initiatives in the counties the credit union serves. In 2013, Suncoast Credit Union Foundation provided $1.7 million in funding and grants for a total of $9 million since its inception in 1992.
