Forest Area Federal Credit Union Pays It Forward in Kingsley
FIFE LAKE, MI (October 6, 2015) — Forest Area Federal Credit Union will surprise the staff of their Kingsley Branch location with an early morning activity on Monday October 12, 2015. This activity will direct the branch team to take $500 provided to them by the credit union and Pay It Forward into their community. The staff of 6 employees led by Branch Manager Gaybrielle Hewit, will head out into their community looking for opportunities to Pay It Forward. Forest Area FCU will kick of their full staff meeting on this day by directing the Kingsley Branch Team to spend an hour in their community “Paying it Forward” and then returning to the meeting to share their experiences.
Forest Area FCU performed this Pay it Forward Activity with their Kalkaska Branch location in February of 2015 with great results. CEO Robert Raden says this about this activity: ‘My staff was excited and proud that we could do this. They expressed that it was such a rewarding experience to know that our credit union is as community committed as we possibly can be. A strong relationship in our communities has made our credit union a success and our board is always open to be a benefactor to all of our communities in tough times.’
Forest Area Federal Credit Union has a long standing history of embracing the credit union philosophy of People Helping People through their Community Grant program and a staff funded Humanity Fund which helps out community members who have experienced a catastrophic life event such as a cancer diagnosis, unexpected or uninsured death, home fire etc. with a little helping hand, and more. They also fundraise regularly for Children’s Miracle Network, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, MCULAF, and local food pantries. This activity will be just one more way of giving back to the communities and who have supported the credit union growth and success through the years.
