Indianapolis, ID (May 28, 2014) -- FORUM is excited to announce the creation of the FORUM Credit Union Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the communities FORUM serves by enhancing educational opportunities through educator grants and collegiate scholarships.
The Foundation will designate $25,000 annually in educator grants and award up to seven $20,000 collegiate scholarships. These scholarships are paid over four years, not to exceed $5,000 per year. Scholarship recipients must be FORUM members in good standing or have parents who are FORUM members. Educator grants are available to teachers who are FORUM members or who work for a school district that partners with FORUM Credit Union.
“The FORUM Foundation embodies our Credit Union’s purpose of helping members live their financial dreams,” said Doug True, CEO of FORUM Credit Union. “ We are excited to support the communities we serve and to make a positive impact in the lives of our members through these educational awards.”
Educator grant applications for the 2014-2015 school year will be accepted beginning June 2014. Teachers can apply for the grant by completing the online application form. Collegiate scholarship applications will be accepted this fall, with recipients being announced in the spring of 2015.
