FORUM Credit Union gives back over $3.5 million in member rewards
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (January 24, 2024) — Each year, FORUM Credit Union gives cash back to its members through a variety of savings and prize-based rewards. This commitment to give back to members is based on the financial cooperative spirit embodied in credit unions and to fulfill FORUM’s purpose of helping members live their financial dreams. In 2023, FORUM gave back over $3.5 million in member rewards.
As part of FORUM’s savings and prize-based rewards, FORUM awarded $1,378 to 52 Week Money Challenge winner, Tomisa, a FORUM member since 1992. When members open this incremental savings account, they are entered to win $1,378 by making 26 deposits during a 12-month period, and saving at least $1,378. Winners were also chosen for FORUM’s Bonus 5 Fund. With this account, members can earn monthly and annual cash prizes for regular savings. In 2023, five annual winners were chosen who each received $500.
In addition to prize-based savings, FORUM gives back to members through checking account and credit card rewards, various online offers, and educator grants and collegiate scholarships through the FORUM Foundation. The FORUM Foundation has provided over $1.25 million in grants and scholarships since 2014. Accounts are also available to help parents save for their child’s future. With a FORUM Sprout Account, FORUM matches 10% of deposited funds per calendar year at various tier levels with a maximum yearly match of $100.
Moreover, FORUM supports an employee nominated charity each year. In 2023, employees donated over $78,000 to local Humane Societies and to The Dayspring Center. FORUM employees also utilized 719 hours of paid volunteer time off to support various charities throughout the community.
