INDIANAPOLIS, IN (March 20, 2014) -- Formed in 2005, the FORUM Spirit Advisory Council has worked towards facilitating community partnerships on behalf of FORUM Credit Union employees. The group determines organizations to sponsor each year as a part of its Charity of Choice program.
FORUM employees raised more than $20,000 during their fundraising efforts this past year. FORUM held numerous special events and fundraising activities including $5 Jeans Days, golf outings, an Italian dinner, employee auctions, cookouts, and more.
FORUM’s most recent partnership is with the Care for Kids Foundation. The foundation seeks to impact the long-term success of vulnerable youth by providing hope, expanding a sense of reality, teaching useful skills, nurturing friendships, and promoting self-worth. FORUM held a donation drive in which FORUM employees supplied 25 girls with a sleeping bag, duffle bag, pillow, towel, flip flops, and basket of necessities for camp.
FORUM also continues to work with various organizations that were named as a Charity of Choice in past years including the Julian Center, Dayspring Center, and Agapé Therapeutic Riding Resources, Inc. FORUM employees have purchased necessary supplies, volunteered, and made monetary donations for renovations and scholarships as a part of these ongoing partnerships.
The FORUM Spirit Advisory Council continues to work toward initiatives such as promoting dedicated volunteerism, identifying innovative philanthropic opportunities, and contributing positively to the well-being of the community at large.
