FORUM Credit Union shares mid-year member giveback report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (July 16, 2018) — FORUM Credit Union is pleased to share the mid-year member giveback report, showing a return of nearly $950,000 to members since January 2018. As a financial cooperative, FORUM is committed to giving back to its members in a variety of ways, including account prizes and community rewards.

In the first half of 2018, FORUM member giveback amounts have increased significantly compared to the 2017 midyear amounts, which showed a return of just under $840,000 to members. Included in these prizes are checking account rewards and credit card rewards, returning cash back to members.

Additionally, FORUM returned profits to 7 new collegiate scholarships and 21 renewing scholarships this year, each worth $5,000, through the FORUM Foundation. “This scholarship will have long-reaching effects on me, relieving some of the financial burden of college and allowing me to focus more on other topics during college,” says Alexander L., a 2018 collegiate scholarship recipient. “This will allow me to become a more well-rounded student and have an increased impact on the community around me.”

FORUM also organizes a monthly community giveback program. Designed as a pay-it-forward program, a locally owned business is selected each month and FORUM covers the cost of every customer’s order for two hours. By sharing this random act of kindness, FORUM hopes to strengthen connections and give back to the communities it serves.
