Founders FCU sees improved wait times through implementation of Source Technologies’ 6-series kiosks throughout branch network
CHARLOTTE, NC (February 23, 2017) — Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, announced that Lancaster, S.C.-based Founders Federal Credit Union ($1.9 billion in assets), has successfully implemented its 6-Series kiosk within 27 branch locations, resulting in efficiencies for both members and staff through a streamlined branch experience.
Earlier this year, while experiencing a surge in growth, Founders Federal Credit Union began a rigorous selection process for self-service branch automation technology that could help better manage the flow of traffic within its branches at peak times and enhance the member experience. Ultimately, the credit union selected Source Technologies’ 6-Series kiosk, which is designed to adapt to support any number of applications, noting its user-friendly interface and proven ability to function within the branch.
After selection, Founders FCU piloted the kiosk at three of its branch locations. Each kiosk was paired with LobbyCentral® customer check-in software. This coupling of the two allowed the credit union to better track wait times, visit types and transactions. Results stemming from the pilot were immediate and the credit union reported that its branch managers were able to more actively monitor branch activity based on member-waiting times and their transaction needs. In turn, branch managers leveraged this information to prioritize their staff based on the needs of members, creating a more efficient branch environment for members and staff alike. Based on the success of the pilot, Founders FCU is now implementing the 6-Series kiosk across its branch network.
“Implementation of the 6- Series kiosk has had a tremendous positive impact our branch experience,” said Bruce Brumfield, President and CEO at Founders Federal Credit Union. “The improvements we’ve realized have exceeded our initial expectations. Our branch managers find the self-service kiosks to be most beneficial in monitoring member service in real-time, helping them support staffing needs. Our members find the kiosk reassuring as a way we are listening their feedback and implementing solutions to best serve their needs.”
“Self-service automation, when done right, delivers solid results for financial institutions,” said Keith Hamilton, CEO of Source Technologies. “The results Founders FCU realized by implementing the 6-Series kiosk speaks to the role self-service technology plays in the ongoing evolution of the branch banking experience, and to our commitment as a company in meeting the strategic needs of our customers.”
