Identity theft wreaks havoc with your personal finances and your credit rating. The crime may start with unauthorized use of personal information resulting from stolen wallets, billing statements as well as other physical documents and can lead to a negative impact on your credit score and financial well-being.

Sussex County Federal Credit Union wants to help you reduce the threat of becoming a victim of identity theft.

Although we can’t protect ourselves in all situations, we can minimize our risk. Gather documents with personal information, such as tax returns, bank statements, pay stubs, cancelled checks and come to a FREE SHRED EVENT, May 19 from 9am – 12 noon at the Milford Branch of Sussex County FCU, located at 140 Aerenson Drive Milford (next to Wawa on Rt. 113).  Bring up to 10 File Boxes to secure for Shredding, compliments of Lifestyle Document Management, Inc.  Enjoy a live radio remote with Cool 101.3FM starting at 10am and enjoy refreshments and giveaways, while supplies last.
