Sacramento River Cats mascot Dinger is set to visit SAFE’s Lincoln branch on Friday, June 26 as part of the credit union’s partnership with the Triple-A minor league baseball team and its summer “Kids Days” (June 15-30) branch events.
Families are invited to come to the branch to meet and get their picture taken with Dinger and media are invited to cover Dinger’s visit.
Who: Dinger, the official mascot of the Sacramento River Cats, will conduct all things banking – including ‘working’ at the teller window – as he entertains credit union staff and visits with members entering the branch.
What: Along with his branch visit, Dinger will hand out swag and goodies to kids.
When: 11 a.m. to noon, Friday, June 26
Where: SAFE Credit Union, 111 Ferrari Ranch Road in Lincoln
Why: As part of SAFE’s 2026 partnership with the Sacramento River Cats and the A’s, the credit union is hosting branch mascot appearances by Dinger and Stomper (the A’s official mascot).
More: In May, SAFE Credit Union announced it entered into a partnership with the A’s and Sacramento River Cats for each of the teams’ 2026 season. The partnership affirms the credit union’s commitment to supporting the economic growth of the region.
Under the new partnership, SAFE serves as the Presenting Partner for a River Cats game each month at Sutter Health Park, including ticket giveaways, promotions and in-ballpark engagement. With the A’s, SAFE is the Presenting Partner for every “Sacramento Saturdays” home game at Sutter Health Park this season.
Throughout the 2026 MLB season, SAFE members also receive a 15% discount to A’s home games and 20% discount to River Cats home games.
The credit union’s “Kids Days” – held between June 15 and June 30 – promote the importance of financial education for its youngest members with a coloring contest and spin-the-wheel prizes for kids who open a new checking account at SAFE.
SAFE Credit Union offers checking accounts to children as young as 6 years old. The family banking accounts include tap-to-pay debit cards and provide ease of use for account access and the transferring of funds among multigenerational family members.
