GECU has proudly supported members and communities in achieving their financial dreams for more than 90 years. Now, the credit union is expanding its reach across Texas with the groundbreaking of its first branch in Lubbock – its first outside of the El Paso area.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 5 at 11 a.m., at 5035 Milwaukee Ave., in Lubbock. Community members, local leaders, and media attended a meet-and-greet with GECU leadership. The event celebrates a milestone in GECU’s continued mission to spread its people helping people philosophy and deliver trusted financial services to more Texans.
For over nine decades, GECU has been committed to helping their members reach their goals and strengthen the communities they serve. They’re honored to take this next step in Lubbock and look forward to building new relationships, supporting local families and businesses, and helping more people achieve financial freedom.
The new Lubbock branch will feature the latest in banking technology and personal service, offering a full range of products including checking and savings accounts, auto and home loans, credit cards, and more. Membership is open to all residents of Lubbock and across Texas.
