GECU volunteers serve local veterans at breakfast gathering in Northeast El Paso

EL PASO, TX (November 10, 2025) |

In recognition of Veterans Day and in continued support of the local military community, GECU employees recently volunteered with Veterans at Breakfast to serve breakfast to El Paso Veterans at the organization’s monthly gathering.

Veterans at Breakfast is a social and community service group whose mission is to provide a welcoming space for Veterans from all branches of service to gather, socialize, network, discuss issues, and stay informed on matters affecting the Veteran community. The group meets every fourth Thursday of the month at the American Legion Paso del Norte Post 58 in Northeast El Paso.

“At GECU, we believe in honoring our Veterans not just on Veterans Day, but year-round,” said Gina Lewis, Director of Military and Veterans Affairs at GECU. “Supporting Veterans at Breakfast allows us to connect with and serve those who have given so much for our country. It’s a privilege for our team to participate and show our gratitude in a meaningful way.”

GECU is honored to support this initiative by providing volunteers each month to serve breakfast to attendees — a small gesture of appreciation for the service and sacrifices of local Veterans.
