At the recent 20th Annual Leadership Awards Dinner presented by Walsh College, Genisys Credit Union President & CEO Jackie Buchanan received the 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award.
"My sincerest thank you to Walsh College for this recognition. I am proud to have graduated from Walsh, and remain an active alumnus supporting their various efforts to continually give back," said Jackie Buchanan, President & CEO of Genisys Credit Union.
This prestigious award recognizes business leaders who have shared their expertise and talent in their commitment to Walsh. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting and has remained a proud, actively involved alumni along with being a Walsh College Board Trustee.
"Jackie's educational and professional journey and her generous spirit are extraordinary," said Michael Levens, Ph.D., Walsh College president and CEO. "We are so proud to have Jackie as part of the Walsh family and it is a privilege to present her with the 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award."
Proceeds from the evening benefit the Jeffery W. Barry Endowed Scholarship and the Leadership Awards Scholarship. Since its inception in 2000, the Leadership Awards Dinner has raised more than $3 million in scholarship funds while honoring Metro Detroit business leaders.
