Genisys Credit Union was the Entertainment Stage Sponsor and also brought several volunteers to help out in the children’s area at the Ypsilanti Heritage Festival on August 20-22, 2010 in downtown Ypsilanti.

According to the Ypsilanti Heritage Festival, Inc., “The 2010 Ypsilanti Heritage Festival is dedicated to the men and women who have contributed to Ypsilanti’s automotive history as employees of the General Motors Assembly and Hydra-Matic plants in Ypsilanti Township.”

Activities at the event included “The 1973 Ypsilanti All-Star Game That Never Was,” 32nd Annual Parade, Antique Road Show, Butterfly House, Hot Dog Eating Contest, Haab’s 2nd Annual Bed Race, Children’s Area, Running the Rails, Rubber Duck Race, Raffles, La De Dahs Historic Baseball, GM Auto Exhibit and much more.

“The Ypsilanti Heritage Festival provides an endless array of fun activities for families to do together throughout the weekend,” said Christine Schulz, Ypsilanti Branch Manager. “It brings the focus back to the community and the history that Ypsilanti has to offer.”
