Genisys Credit Union received the Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency (OLHSA) Community Partner Award at the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon on Friday, April 16, 2010 for their outstanding dedication to OLHSA and their inspiring spirit of volunteerism.

“It is an honor to be recognized for our partnership with OLHSA,” said Jackie Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer. “Genisys is focused on giving back to the community and provides numerous joint opportunities throughout the year for staff, family and friends to volunteer and benefit Oakland and Livingston counties.”

This is the second award that Genisys has recently received from their involvement with the organization. They also received the National Corporate Partnership Excellence Award from the non-profit Community Action Partnership organization last year for their outstanding support of OLHSA and their efforts in helping low-income people in metro Detroit.

Genisys partners with OLHSA on several projects including Walk for Warmth to help heat the homes of those less fortunate and recently raised nearly $35,000 for the cause as well as Tax Prep Days in March to help OLHSA families complete their taxes. Genisys also has an In-School Branch at OLHSA to teach financial literacy to the Head Start children.
