Auburn Hills, MI, March 31, 2011 – April is Credit Union Youth Month, and this year’s national theme is “Money Rock$.” Genisys has several activities planned for its younger members including a deposit promotion for the chance to win a karaoke machine.
During Money Smart Week Michigan from April 2-9, 2011, Genisys is hosting several legislative representatives at our School Financial Seminars. Students will learn about money management and the importance of saving.
“This is a wonderful experience for our local youth as they learn how financial literacy plays a role in our government,” said Lon Bone, Vice President of Public Relations.
National Credit Union Youth Week is April 18-23, 2011, and any Genisys youth club member who stops in to see us will receive FREE Rock Star Silly Bandz and a coloring page.
“The Money Rock$ contest and prize give-a-way is a great way to promote how saving can be fun,” said Darren Cameron, Vice President of Marketing. “Hopefully, our younger members will continue to see the value and adopt these money-management skills in the future.”
Genisys offers three FREE clubs to help youth learn how to save and manage money like a financial genius: Moola Moola (0-7), Youth Investors (8-12) and Teen Advantage (13-17). Each club offers prizes, contests, newsletters and helpful information tailored to each age group to make learning fun.
