Genisys Credit Union is always searching for ways to help members save money. From cost-saving products and services to discounted tickets, Genisys continues to create partnerships to pass along the savings to thrifty consumers.

As part of the “Invest in America” program, Genisys has the opportunity to lend millions of dollars in auto loans to loyal credit union members for GM vehicles, but it also provides discounts on many products and services including Allied Moving Benefits, AutoNation Direct, CompleteTax, Direct TV, FTD, Shop America and Sprint.

“The ‘Invest in America’ program is a beneficial partnership for credit unions,” said Jackie Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer. “It provides great value in the form of discounts to our members and helps their money stretch farther when budgets are tight.”

Genisys also offers discounted tickets to several major attractions including AMC Theatres, Cedar Point, Dorney Park Wildwater Kingdom (Pennsylvania), Valleyfair Amusement Park (Minnesota) and the Renaissance Festival in both Michigan and Minnesota. Tickets are available to Genisys members at a significantly lower rate.

“These are just some of the additional benefits people can expect as a Genisys member,” said Lon Bone, Vice President of Public Relations & Community Involvement. “It’s a great way for families to spend time together without the added expense.”

Another new program Genisys is extending to its members is the Cleary University Tuition Discount. It’s provides members with a 20% discount on tuition in hopes of providing an educational opportunity at an affordable cost.

“To honor Dianne Addington, Cleary alumna and former Genisys CEO, and to compliment our strategic partnership with Cleary, our board unanimously decided to create the Genisys Credit Union Dianne Addington Leadership Scholarship,” said Buchanan. “Dianne was a champion for community leadership, and we are excited to help fund a Cleary University student’s education—particularly one for whom community service is a priority.”

Product offerings available at Genisys include savings and youth savings accounts, which can be opened for as little as $5.00. Specialty accounts like holiday, you name it and high yield money market accounts allow members to tailor their accounts to their specific needs. Checking accounts are free and give members the flexibility to access their money as needed. Certificates and IRAs offer a variety of options to choose from with a higher rate of return and competitive interest rates.
