Genisys Supports Relay For Life

Auburn Hills, MI, June 17, 2011 – Genisys Credit Union was a sponsor at the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life at Pierce Middle School in Waterford.  The event took place on June 11, 2011, and through its support was able to raise over $136,000.  “Genisys is proud to contribute and take part in such an important community initiative.” Jackie Buchanan, CEO, Genisys Credit Union

The Relay For Life gives the opportunity to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones that were lost, and fight back against the disease. Teams of people camp out and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team was required to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Since cancer never sleeps, relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.
