Georgia United Credit Union invites community to an open house at its new Cartersville branch on August 12
Georgia United Credit Union invites the community to attend an open house at its new Cartersville branch located at 134 E. Felton Road on Wednesday, August 12, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. All are welcome to enjoy free refreshments and giveaways.
The new Cartersville Branch was acquired during a merger partnership between Etowah Valley Federal Credit Union (EVFCU) and Georgia United over the weekend. The Bartow County Chamber of Commerce will be present for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Credit Union will host a retirement reception for Veda Hilton, veteran EVFCU president, at 12:15 p.m. in the Board Room. Veda has served as the president of EVFCU for over 40 years and was instrumental in the merger partnership process.
Georgia United’s CEO Debbie Smith shares, “We have enjoyed working with Veda and her team this summer to prepare for Etowah Valley FCU’s 3,000 members and 134 East Felton Road Branch location to be added to the Georgia United family. And, we anticipate that EVFCU members will enjoy the additional products and services provided. We look forward to having our members and partner companies stop by this new location and for the Etowah Valley community to wish Veda well in her retirement. She is one of the most respected and tenured credit union CEOs in Georgia.”
