Georgia United Credit Union Member Wins $10,000 in Loan Promotion Drawing

Duluth, GA – November 13, 2012 – Georgia United Credit Union has had a record year in consumer and mortgage loans during 2012.  With rates as low as 1.99% APR for new and used car loans, this local credit union has had some fun with their humorous spokesperson “Aunt Sophie” since July.  Aunt Sophie represents financially savvy relatives everywhere. And, she dispenses financial predictions and advice like, “High loan rates are about to be road kill!”

Georgia United just completed a loan promotion that allowed members to enter a drawing to win Aunt Sophie’s motorcycle (or the $10,000 cash equivalent). No purchase was necessary but all members who applied for a loan between July 16 and November 1 were automatically entered.

The motorcycle drawing took place from among all entries received by November 1 and the winner was chosen November 9.  The lucky winner was Valorie Hammock from Grayson, Georgia, who came to the credit union for her auto loan.  Ms. Hammock is an Aesthetic Technician with Gwinnett Dermatology and was understandably excited to hear she would be winning $10,000. Gwinnett Dermatology is one of the local member group companies served by Georgia United.
