Georgia United Credit Union seeks toy & clothing donations for foster children in Annual Wish Tree Program

DULUTH, GA (November 6, 2014) -- Georgia United Credit Union is holding its 25th annual Wish Tree program to collect new toys and articles of clothing for deserving foster children with local Departments of Family & Children’s Services or other charitable organizations. Georgia United invites any interested individuals, schools, or civic groups, to participate by dropping off a gift at any of the 16 Georgia United Branch locations from November 12 – December 12 so deliveries can be made to DFCS prior to the week of Christmas.

The Christmas Wish Tree Program is Georgia United’s longest running community service project with an estimated 14,101 gifts donated to deserving children throughout the program.

Debbie Smith, Georgia United’s President & CEO, commented, “Georgia United has always been involved in the communities we serve across the state. This will be our 25th year supporting deserving children through our annual Wish Tree program.  We invite our members, local schools and civic groups to support this program by donating new, unwrapped toys or clothing at any Georgia United branch prior to December 12.
