FREMONT, MI (4/24/14) -- Three children had the opportunity to shadow their parent/guardian at work on Thursday, April 24, at Gerber Federal Credit Union's Bring Your Child to Work Day. In accordance with the nationally recognized day, employee's children between the ages of 8 and 14 years were invited to attend. The children participated in interactive learning activities intended to guide and develop them toward a future where they can participate fully in work, family, and community. The children started out the day with a message from the President/CEO John Buckley and then received a brief lesson on credit union history and what it means to belong to a credit union. The children were also given a behind the scenes tour, they were able to play in the Gerber FCU Coindexter Club virtual-world game site, they spent time at their parent/guardian's work station and even learned some budgeting basics using M&Ms.
