Press renews Platinum Withdraw Cash Wednesday sponsorship

SIOUX FALLS, SD (February 7, 2019), the ATM industry’s premier wrap provider and a fully-integrated creative media company, has renewed their Platinum sponsorship of the ATM Industry Association‘s (ATMIA) Withdraw Cash Wednesday campaign.

One of the first companies to sponsor the industry-wide cash campaign, President Daniel Beavers said “we are happy to lend our support to the Withdraw Cash Wednesday campaign. It is a great tool to increase ATM transactions and fight the war on cash.”

Withdraw Cash Wednesday’s mission is to promote ATM cash withdrawals on heavy shopping days like the Wednesday prior to Black Friday and educate consumers on the positive benefits of using cash as a budgeting tool, to reduce debt and save money by avoiding credit card interest fees.

“The truth is cash is alive and kicking. Cash is used for about 80 percent of global retail transactions and in the U.S., cash in circulation grew 42 percent between 2007 and 2012. Despite all the hype about contactless transactions, Bitcoin and other electronic forms of payment, cash is still king,” Lee continues. “Through the Withdraw Cash Wednesday campaign, it is my hope that the industry can come together to help dispel the myth that cash is on the way out.”
