After an extensive search, Sierra Central Credit Union is pleased to announce Gayle Gines as the next Vice President of Audit. Ms. Gines is taking over the role from Terri Garcia, who for 21 years has added significantly to the success of SCCU and will be missed by both members and staff, alike.
“I am sad to see Terri leave, but very excited to bring Gayle onto the senior leadership team here at SCCU. She has great experience and fantastic knowledge of the audit and compliance space. She will be a brilliant asset to the credit union,” said CEO John Cassidy when asked for comment.
Ms. Gines has over 16 years of experience with audit and compliance, in both the credit union space and out of the industry. She is coming to Sierra Central from Houston Federal Credit Union, where she was the Vice President of Internal Audit. Before that, Ms. Gines was a Senior Internal Auditor at Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union. Gines has a Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration with an Emphasis in Accounting from Idaho State University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
When asked for comment on her new position, Ms. Gines said, “I am very excited to be joining the talented team at Sierra Central. This is an amazing opportunity, and I am looking forward to working with everyone at the credit union.”
