GLCU partnering with Lake County Treasurer

Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) will be the first credit union to partner with the Lake County Treasurer as a location that can accept property tax payments. Starting on May 1st, 2021, Lake County, Illinois residents will be able to visit any GLCU branch within Lake County to pay their property tax bill. GLCU has six branches in the county including Antioch, Gurnee, North Chicago, Waukegan, Round Lake Beach, and Zion. Any Lake County resident can utilize this service, GLCU membership is not required.

GLCU will be able to accept payments for the first coupon until June 7th, 2021, and again for the second coupon until September 7th, 2021. The tax payment coupons received from the Lake Country Treasurer are required when making payments at GLCU as well as a valid form of identification. Taxpayers will be able to visit Lake County GLCU branches either in person or by utilizing the drive-thru, night drops are not permitted. Full payments in the form of check or cash can be accepted.
