GLCUs counselor becomes HUD certified
BANNOCKBURN, IL (April 26, 2021) — Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) is proud to announce employee-owner, Jeannine Folan has received her HUD Certification. By receiving her HUD Certification, Jeannine is now able to assist anyone in the community by providing housing counseling services to those in need of assistance. HUD-Certified counselors can offer a wide array of services including counseling in foreclosure assistance, renting or owning a home, financing, credit counseling, and consolidating debt.

HUD Certifications are given out after a counselor completes and passes a rigorous written exam issued by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. GLCU is among six credit unions in the nation that offers a HUD Certified counseling program.
