Global Credit Union participates in Military Saves Week 2016
SPOKANE, WA (February 18, 2016) — Global Credit Union is spreading the “Savings Message” next week. Global urges our community to participate in Military Saves Week and take the Military Saves Pledge.
Military Saves Week 2016, scheduled for February 22 – 27, is a week-long effort to help military members in our community and their families to set a goal, make a plan on how much to save, and establish an automatic saving mechanism.
“Military Saves Week is a great opportunity to help servicemembers and their families in our community save more successfully. We want to encourage more people to keep saving,” said Yvonne Holland, President of Branch Operations. “It’s important to help our members ‘Set a Goal, Make a Plan, and Save Automatically’.”
Global will be offering free treats and snacks at our branches, including savings pledges and educational material, as part of the week to help people to build wealth, not debt
Military Saves Week is coordinated by America Saves and the Consumer Federation of America in partnership with the Department of Defense. The Week is an annual opportunity for organizations to promote good savings behavior and a chance for individuals to assess their own saving status.
