PALM SPRINGS, FL (April 1, 2026) |
Gold Coast Federal Credit Union is a proud partner of Junior Achievement of South Florida, and in honor of Financial Literacy Month, has attended the 12th Annual Financial Literacy Month Celebration to further its mission to expand financial wellness and education within the local community.
Mike Davis, MBA, Business and Community Development Manager at Gold Coast, joined the event as a panelist on behalf of the credit union. During the discussion, Davis emphasized the importance of collaboration between financial institutions, nonprofits, schools, and community organizations in improving financial literacy and equipping individuals with the knowledge and agency needed to better manage their financial futures.
Gold Coast Federal Credit Union has shared its dedication to financial empowerment through the KOFE Financial Wellness Platform, a digital financial education program that provides budgeting tools, credit resources, financial coaching, and online learning courses. The platform allows for both in-person and digital access, as well as the ability for those to learn at their own pace. This partnership is complemented by the credit union’s own programs. Coastal Compass, which utilizes internally produced webinars, and the offer for in-person financial wellness meetings at each branch, foster the ongoing discussion of what financial wellness and literacy truly mean, and how to employ better financial habits. Gold Coast also partners with organizations like Consolidated Credit to combine financial counseling with responsible financial products and services, helping members of the community move away from financial challenges and toward long-term stability.
“Financial education gives people the confidence and knowledge to make better financial decisions,” said Davis. “When organizations work together to provide accessible financial wellness resources, we can make a real difference in our communities.”
Through ongoing partnerships and innovative financial well-being initiatives, Gold Coast Federal Credit Union continues to expand access to financial education throughout South Florida.
