Golden 1 Credit Union awards more than $500,000 in college scholarships to dozens of California students
Over 50 scholarships granted to outstanding college-bound students
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 28, 2023) — Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is pleased to announce more than $500,000 in college scholarships have been awarded to 54 exemplary students throughout California. Recipients range from incoming college freshmen to college seniors attending in-state colleges or universities this fall. Each student was selected based on their impactful community involvement and a wide range of academic accomplishments.

Golden 1’s scholarship program provides Credit Union members and their dependents financial assistance valued at up to $20,000 per student, for full-time students who plan to attend accredited, nonprofit two-year community colleges or four-year colleges and universities in California. Awardees receive scholarships based on their academic achievements, community involvement, extracurricular activities, education, and career goals.
