Golden 1 Credit Union donates to numerous food banks across California

Credit Union kicks off its season of giving with Giving Tuesday

SACRAMENTO, CA (December 1, 2021) — Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) announced today it is donating to 26 food banks and programs throughout California for Giving Tuesday, a day when people around the world give back to their community in some way. This year, Golden 1 is giving to food banks and programs in the Sacramento Valley, San Joaquin Valley, Bay Area, Central Coast, Los Angeles, San Diego and other counties throughout Northern and Southern California.

“Golden 1 is proud to support the food banks and programs that offer such a critical lifeline to those in need in our communities across California,” said Erica Taylor, Vice President of Communications and Community Relations. “We know food banks are working hard to keep up with increased food prices and increased demand due to job loss from the pandemic, and Golden 1 is grateful to do our part to help get food in the hands of those who need it.”

Whether it is through Giving Tuesday, Big Day of Giving, its college scholarship program, or its community grant program, giving back to the communities it serves is the cornerstone of Golden 1.
