Golden 1 Credit Union earns Great Place to Work Certification™

Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is pleased to announce it is officially Certified™ by Great Place to Work®. The prestigious award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at the organization. Current results indicate 83% of Golden 1 employees say the credit union is a great place to work, which is 26 points higher than the average U.S. company.

“Golden 1 is honored to be officially certified as a Great Place to Work,” said Donna Bland, President and CEO of Golden 1 Credit Union. “Our team members are at the heart of everything we do at Golden 1, and we are committed to creating a company culture where all employees feel empowered to grow, flourish, and create change. We are grateful to all our employees who strive to create an unparalleled experience for our members every day.”

The trust index survey found that nearly 90% of Golden 1 employees value the credit union’s community contributions, accomplishments, and good working environment, while 92% say they felt incredibly welcomed when joining the organization.

“Golden 1 team members are our most valuable assets, and I would like to thank our employees for their dedication and all that they do for the credit union,” said Heather Andrade-Neumann, Executive Vice President, Chief People Officer of Golden 1 Credit Union. “We strive to build a culture that creates a sense of belonging at all levels of the organization, and I am so proud to be recognized by our employees as a Great Place to Work.”

In 2022, Golden 1 was also recognized as one of Forbes’ “Best-in-State Employers” in California for the fourth year in a row and was named as one of American Banker's “Best Credit Unions to Work For” for the second consecutive year. The credit union regularly utilizes surveys and focus groups to gain additional insights into what employees want to see implemented in all company policies. Visit golden1.com/discoverg1/careers to learn more current career opportunities.
