Great Basin Federal Credit Union promotes April Libby to brand manager

RENO, NV (August 30, 2017) — Reno, NV-based Great Basin Federal Credit Union has promoted April Libby to serve as its brand manager.

Libby will now oversee the Marketing and Member Experience departments, including the credit union’s brand and product promotions, advertising, online, and other marketing efforts for the Washoe County community Great Basin FCU serves.

“We are so excited to have April leading our member experience and communications efforts,” said Great Basin FCU Chief Experience Officer Elisabeth Hadler. “She has a sincere desire to create the most delightful experiences for our members and potential members.

“She has a strong belief in, and loyalty to the credit union movement making her the perfect fit for promoting the benefits of Great Basin Federal Credit Union and bringing our vision ‘to be member-loved’ to the next level,” Hadler added.

Libby came to Great Basin FCU 2005.  After serving in a number of departments, she joined the credit union’s Marketing Department in 2011.

She is very much involved in the community as well as with many of the credit union’s projects and committees. In 2012, she received both the Ultimate Experience and Employee of the Year awards. In 2015, she was named Employee of the Year again.

Libby has lived in northern Nevada from a young age, and graduated from the University of Nevada in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in communication studies with a minor in human development and family studies.

In the almost 70 years since, Great Basin has evolved into a community-chartered credit union serving over 18,000 people in the Reno area.
