Great Lakes Credit Union hosts a free Shred Day event
BANNOCKBURN, IL (August 2, 2016) — Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU), Oak Lawn Branch is holding a FREE Document Shred Day, Saturday, August 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Bring your unwanted personal documents to GLCU’s Oak Lawn Branch located at 9930 Southwest Hwy., Oak Lawn, IL 60453 for secure document destruction.
Keep your personal information secure! One of the most common methods of identity theft is dumpster diving. Thieves have no reservations about going through trash and recycle bins to search for personal information – financial statements, credit card statements, utility bills and anything that displays personal/private information. One way to avoid being victim of this crime is to make sure you shred personal documents on a regular basis.
Shred Day provides an opportunity to be “green”, give back to the community, and win a prize! Attendees can also enter a drawing to win a paper shredder – donated by Liberty Mutual Insurance. During the event, voluntary donations for GLCU’s two Charities of Choice will be accepted. For details, please visit http://bit.ly/GLCUShredDays
