Greater TEXAS FCU Hosts Free Shred Day in Manor, Texas

Austin, TX –Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union (GTFCU) hosted a free Shred Day Event in Manor, Texas on June 23, 2012.

The community was encouraged to come out and shred their personal and confidential documents for free, including bank statements, invoices, contracts and tax returns.

Over 50 people attended and 2,150 pounds of paper were shredded and recycled by Cintas on-site. Attendees were given free give-a-way items, popcorn and cookies. Some credit union members even drove in from out of town to participate in the event.

The credit union currently has 16 branches across the state of Texas and continues to grow with over 66,000 members. The GTFCU Manor branch has been opened less than a year and is the only credit union in the Manor community.
