Greylock holds Shred Day October 13th in North Adams

PITTSFIELD, MA (September 21, 2018) — Greylock Federal Credit Union will be holding a Community Shred Day on Saturday, October 13th from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon in North Adams. The free event will take place at Noel Field (adjacent to Haskin Elementary School), 310 State Street. A donation of $1 per box is suggested and will benefit the Northern Berkshire United Way. The on-site shredding is for personal documents only.

“Greylock Federal takes ID theft very seriously and this free event is an important way to help protect the community from this growing problem,” said JamieEllen Moncecchi, Vice President/Administration, Greylock Federal Credit Union. “Our first Community Shred Day in North Adams is a convenient and secure way for the community to safely dispose of invoices, tax returns, paycheck stubs and other personal documents that can be used by identity thieves to commit fraud.”

A mobile shredding truck will be on-site to securely and efficiently destroy confidential information. Those interested can participate by bringing important documents to Noel Field the day of the event.
