Grow Financial sponsors fourth annual Mayor’s River O’Green celebration
Event to Take Place Saturday, March 14
TAMPA, FL, (March 10, 2015) — Grow Financial, in partnership with The City of Tampa, will dye the Hillsborough River “Grow Financial” green for the fourth annual Mayor’s River O’Green celebration. Mayor Bob Buckhorn will host River O’Green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, March 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.
The Hillsborough River will be dyed green between the Cass Street Bridge and Kennedy Bridge in a matter of around ten minutes. The dye is potable water grade, non-toxic, and biodegradable, and is used primarily to trace leaks, and for search and rescue efforts in large bodies of water.
In addition to the festive green Hillsborough River, entertainment, food trucks and activities will also be at the event. The river provides a perfect backdrop to the celebration which includes live entertainment, games, kids’ activities, food trucks serving Irish faire, beer, and more! This year, Grow Financial team members will be on hand with fun Grow swag to hand out and a customized photo booth for attendees to take pictures in their tent.
In addition to the St. Patrick’s Day fun, any attendee who brings three non-perishable food items will receive a green “Saint Patrick’s Army” shirt provided by the Salvation Army. All donations will benefit the Salvation Army and provide support for those in need.
