TAMPA, FL (December 10, 2013) -- Two members of GTE Financial headed to Chicago after being randomly selected from thousands of entrants nationwide for the Credit Union Magic MinuteTM sweepstakes sponsored by PSCU. Tampa residents Michelle Neverman and Mark Hobbs and their guest joined eight other lucky winners from credit unions across the country on December 5 to participate in the shopping thrill of a lifetime. Winners were given 60 seconds to load their oversized carts with as much merchandise from the CURewards warehouse with high-end items such as laptops, tablets, flat screen TVs, home appliances and sporting equipment.
“We were thrilled that one of our members won out of the thousands of entrants,” says Joe Brancucci, president and CEO of GTE Financial. “Then we found out a second GTE member had won and that was just unbelievable. What are the odds? The Magic Minute sweepstakes generated a lot of interest from our card holders so this is an outcome we certainly hoped for but didn’t imagine possible.”
Winners qualified for the random drawing by using their GTE Financial credit and debit cards to make a minimum of two purchases during the weeks of the promotion which ran from September 1 to October 30, 2013. Over 100 credit unions that offer the CURewards loyalty rewards program to its members participated in the Magic Minute sweepstakes.
The ten sweepstakes winner’s package included an all expense paid, 3 day/2 night trip for two to Chicago and the 60 second Magic Minute shopping spree event.
