Hanscom FCU named Air Force Credit Union of the Year

HANSCOM AFB, MA (August 31, 2018) — Hanscom Federal Credit Union has been recognized by the United States Air Force as Credit Union of the Year for 2017. This honor is given annually to the Air Force credit union that delivers excellence with its financial products and services, as well as demonstrates membership growth and community support.

Chairman of the Board Paul Marotta and President & CEO David Sprague of Hanscom FCU accepted the award during the Defense Credit Union Council’s Annual Conference held in Williamsburg, VA, this August.

“Given that our main office is on Hanscom AFB, our roots in the military community run deep,” said Marotta. “This award means a lot to us; we’re proud of our affiliation with the Air Force community and we’re only going to work harder to serve our military constituents with products and education that serve their unique needs.”

Sprague agreed. “It’s an honor to be chosen from among our peer credit unions serving military members. There are a lot of credit unions out there doing good things for our military service members and their families, so we’re pleased we’re in the spotlight this year.”

Hanscom FCU offers members a number of products and services, including free checking and savings accounts, consumer loans and credit cards, investment and insurance services, and financial education on everything from home buying and debt consolidation to budgeting and saving for retirement.
