Hanscom Federal Credit Union welcomes new CIO

HANSCOM AFB, MA (May 29, 2018) — Hanscom Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that David Minker has joined the organization in the newly created position of Chief Information Officer. Minker will report to David Sprague, the President/CEO of Hanscom FCU.

“David’s background as a technologist and entrepreneur will be an asset to our credit union in the coming years as we make technological advancements and continue to protect our members’ data,” said Hanscom FCU’s Chairman of the Board Paul Marotta. “We’re incredibly fortunate that David’s joined our team.”

Hanscom FCU created the Chief Information Officer position so that the credit union can continue to build on its technology foundation. Minker will be essential in setting strategy and leveraging resources to drive the credit union toward its goals. He will be responsible for a team consisting of IT, Digital Strategy, Project Management, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence.

Over the past 13 years, Minker served as CEO and President of his own outsourced IT services company, CMIT Solutions, which worked with several small- and medium-sized enterprises, including several Massachusetts-based credit unions.

Prior to founding CMIT Solutions, he was VP of Application Software Engineering & Technical Services at Comtrol Corporation, which had acquired a company he’d founded after he developed an integration solution for disparate hotel technology systems. He began his technology career in the mid-‘90s working for Microsoft in support of the Visual C++ product suite.

Minker is a graduate of Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA.
