LAKE JACKSON, TX (May 16, 2014) -- TDECU-Your Credit Union has announced that Harold Nicoll has joined the credit union as its new Vice President of Marketing. Nicoll has more than 20 years experience in marketing and communications.
In his new role, Nicoll will design, build and implement a comprehensive, integrated strategic marketing plan for TDECU. Additionally, he will be responsible for overseeing TDECU’s Customer Relationship Management systems, integration of social media into its marketing and public relations initiatives and conducting market analysis and team development for the credit union.
Prior to joining TDECU, Nicoll spent the majority of his professional career with The Dow Chemical Company in Houston, Texas and Midland, Michigan. During his tenure, he held leadership roles in global marketing communications and public affairs until retiring from Dow after 23 years in 2011.
Most recently, Nicoll was the marketing manager for TIC Gums, a food ingredient company, where he led the introduction of new social media and inbound marketing campaigns, and introduced the company in Europe, China and Malaysia.
Nicoll holds a B.A. in political science from The University of Houston and a Master of Strategic Public Relations from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is “Accredited in the Practice of Public Relations” (APR) from The Public Relations Society of America.
