Hawaii Credit Union League names Tim Ashcraft President & CEO

HONOLULU, HI (April 11, 2024)The Hawaii Credit Union League’s (HCUL) and HCU Services Corporation (HCUS) Boards of Directors has announced Tim Ashcraft as the President & CEO of the HCUL and HCUS effective May 13, 2024. He replaces Karl Yoneshige who served the past six months as HCUL’s Volunteer Interim President. 

Mr. Ashcraft has worked in the financial industry for over 32 years with the last 27 years spent working for Hawaii Community FCU and HFS FCU on the Big Island of Hawaii. His work experience covers a full range of positions including loans, branch operations, call center and in management capacities. 

Mr. Ashcraft graduated from Western Washington University with a B.A. in Economics and a Minor in Business Administration. He graduated with High Honors from Western CUNA Management School. Recently, he served on the HCUL and HCUS Boards of Directors and as the HCUL Big Island Chapter President. He has been instrumental in developing the HCUL Big Island Chapter Young Professionals Committee, expanding the number of participants year-over-year.  

“Tim knows the challenges credit union members face as he has been in the front line working one-on-one with them to help meet their financial needs. His vast credit union industry experience will help the HCUL best serve its member credit unions and ultimately the residents of Hawaii.” said Norman Okimoto, HCUL Board Chairman.
