HONOLULU, HI (May 20, 2025) |

Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) celebrated the grand reopening today of its Kaimuki Branch, located at Kaimuki Shopping Center, following a four-month renovation to enhance the member experience and operational efficiency.

“This renovation reflects our ongoing commitment to providing members with the tools and spaces they need to manage their finances with confidence, whether that’s through the latest banking technology or personalized, face-to-face service,” said Reid Hinaga, senior vice president and branch division manager, Hawaii State FCU. “The Kaimuki Branch has been an important part of this community for nearly two decades, and these updates ensure we can continue to serve our members with the convenience, care, and connection they deserve.”

New Kaimuki Branch features include:

  • Four Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) for fast, flexible self-service banking.
  • Dedicated “tele bar” for digital and mobile banking assistance.
  • Spacious layout and modern interior design.
  • More private meeting spaces for personalized financial consultations.
  • Upgraded technology infrastructure to support digital banking and faster service.

Since opening its doors in 2008, the 2,180-square-foot Kaimuki Branch has remained one of Hawaii State FCU’s top-performing locations, consistently managing more than 9,000 transactions per month and over $20 million in deposits. The branch is supported by a dedicated team of eight employees who serve the financial needs of the Waialae-Kaimuki community. The Kaimuki Branch is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
