Heritage Federal Credit Union Announces New Director of Internal Audit

Newburgh, IN — Heritage Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of a new Director of Internal Audit.

David Milligan is the Director of Internal Audit of Heritage Federal Credit Union effective January 24, 2011.  Mr. Milligan comes to the credit union from Vectren Corporation where he was the Manager of Corporate Audit.  He joined Vectren in 2001 and during his time there, held multiple positions including Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager and Senior Auditor.  Some of his previous roles include Senior Business Analyst for International Profit Associates, Inc. in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, and Vice President of Operations for Stock Yards Bank and Trust in Louisville, Indiana.  Mr. Milligan also held a variety of positions including Operations Manager and Chief Internal Auditor with AmBank Indiana in Vincennes; there he also gained additional experience in retail branch administration, treasury and accounting.

He is a Certified Internal Auditor.  In addition, he is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.  Six Sigma is a business management strategy that seeks to improve the quality of process.

Mr. Milligan initiated and implemented a business partnership through which students at the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana obtain work experience while receiving college-level credit and the company receives the benefit of the work performed.  Mr. Milligan continues to work with this partnership through a mentorship program.  Additionally, he is the founding organizer of the Vectren Chili Cook-Off; for three years, several work groups have cooked chili for the organization, and the funds have been donated to various charities.
