NEWBURGH, IN (March 31, 2014) -- Heritage Federal Credit Union recently selected Empire Contractors Inc. in Evansville, Indiana as their General Contractor to construct the credit union’s 26,000 sq. ft. branch and headquarters in Newburgh, IN.
This state-of-the-art credit union facility will be built on land that the credit union currently owns. The new branch will be built on the property that currently serves as the employee parking area east of the current branch location. Once the new branch is open, late in 2014, the current branch will be razed to prepare for Phase II which will be to construct the new headquarters location, scheduled to be occupied in late 2015. The current branch location at 8266 Bell Oaks Drive in Newburgh, IN will remain open during the construction phases.
Empire Contractors will build the new 2-story credit union facility with local union trades. The facility will be home to the Newburgh branch for the credit union with a dedicated ATM/Night Depository lane, dedicated pass-thru lane and 3 wide drive-thru lanes that will allow the credit union to serve two members in each lane at the same time (known as double stacking). The 26,000 sq. ft. building will also be home to several administrative functions of the credit union along with a training facility, Heritage Financial, and a community room that local non-profit organizations can utilize. Seventy-five employees will be based at the new credit union facility.
