(March 21, 2014) -- In early February, Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union was recognized as a 2013 Business of the Year award recipient by the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce at their Annual Membership Meeting and Award Celebration.
This award program is designed to recognize the dedication, achievement and entrepreneurial spirit displayed by exceptional local businesses.
“There are so many reasons we are an exemplary business but the main one is that we walk the walk as a local business contributor. As our towns expand, roads widen and businesses come and go, we will always uphold at the end of the day that ‘Trust is Everything,’” commented Jim McDaniel, Heritage Trust President/CEO.
Applicants had to demonstrate commitment to the community, show the ability to overcome obstacles and be a member in good standing with the Chamber.
The selection process was conducted by an independent judging panel comprised of a collection of various business leaders from around the nation.
