Heritage Trust Donates Over 5,000 School Supply Items to Lowcountry Orphan Relief

Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union recently donated over 5,000 school supply items to the Lowcountry Orphan Relief Back-to-School Drive. In participation with Charleston Chapter of Credit Unions 2012 charitable initiatives, Heritage Trust served as a collection site for employees and community members to donate new and gently used school clothing and supplies.

Lowcountry Orphan Relief, Inc. (LOR) is a non-profit organization that provides goods and services to children who have been abused or neglected. They work directly with other non-profit organizations, schools, foster parents and government agencies to identify the individual needs of children in severe situations and intervene with products and services that provide a strong, positive impact.*

Heritage Trust is a financially sound organization that has served the greater Charleston community since 1955. The credit union actively gives back to the local community through continued outreach efforts and financial education.
