Heritage Trust donates over $7,000 to March of Dimes

(March 28, 2014) -- Throughout January and February, Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union employees and members supported the March of Dimes 2014 fundraising initiatives through bake sales, employee luncheons, personal donations and more. Along with a corporate sponsorship commitment, Heritage Trust donated over $7,000 to this local charity.

“Our members and employees have proven time and time again just how much they care about our community,” commented Jim McDaniel, Heritage Trust President/CEO. “Through this year’s March of Dimes campaign, employees showed their creativity through a variety of fundraisers, in which our members proudly participated in and showed their continuous generosity.”

Funds raised for the March of Dimes support research efforts to understand and prevent premature birth and other serious problems that threaten babies. The March of Dimes also funds local community programs that help moms have full term pregnancies and help babies begin healthy lives. In addition to fundraisers, Heritage Trust employees strive to build awareness among our membership and the local community. The March of Dimes also acts globally by sharing best practices in perinatal health and helping improve birth outcomes where the needs are the most urgent.*

Heritage Trust employees will celebrate their fundraising success with thousands of community members at the March of Dimes signature event, the March for Babies on April 26th in Cannon Park.
