Heritage Trust celebrated the accomplishments of the 2019 LEAD graduates on December 11, 2019. The LEAD program, which was established in 2017, is an 8-month leadership initiative emphasizing skill building, workshops, and assessments focusing on personal and professional development as participants Learn, Excel, Analyze and Develop.
During his charge to the class, Heritage Trust CEO, Jim McDaniel, reminded graduates of the saying “if service is beneath you, leadership is beyond you.” A culture of servant leadership is cultivated through the program to not only build individual talents, but to strive to help others think about their possibilities.
The program was created under the direction of Training Director Robin Horlback to develop high-potential employees who can successfully lead others as key leadership roles become available in the organization.
“LEAD candidates have been able to implement skills and techniques in their working units while increasing team morale and collaboration among cohorts,” said Horlback.
The organization as a whole benefits from the commitment and dedication of these employees. As an organization, we look forward to continue empowering leaders within the credit union.
