Heritage Trust spreads holiday cheer to local airmen
CHARLESTON, SC (December 12, 2017) — Heritage Trust recently donated $2,500 to be used for holiday meals for junior enlisted service members stationed at Joint Base Charleston and the Naval Weapons Station. Many military members are unable to return home for the holidays and often celebrate with fellow service members on base. The credit union’s donation helped provide dinner to over 130 airmen on Thanksgiving and over 150 are expected for a similar meal Christmas! “This donation made it possible to bring a sense of home to our military,” stated CMSgt Cole.
“We began on the Charleston Air Force Base in 1955. Although we have grown over the years and expanded our services across the Lowcountry, our roots are on the base and we will continue to support them as much as possible,” commented James H. McDaniel, Sr., President/CEO of Heritage Trust.
